The history of W & J Graham’s spans three centuries and throughout that time this acclaimed Port producer has remained an independent family business. The story of Graham’s is the story of two families, both of Scottish origin – the Grahams and the Symingtons – whose commitment to the making of memorable wines has earned for Graham’s a reputation as a leader in the production of outstanding Vintage Ports. The cornerstone of Graham’s Port is the company’s famed vineyard, Quinta dos Malvedos. It is acknowledged to be one of the Upper Douro’s finest properties. The average age of the vines ranges from 20 years for the ‘modern’ terraces to over 45 years for older walled terraces, with 70 hectares under vine, and is characterized by extremely low production.
