An elegant and refined feel here, from one of Barbaresco’s top cru sites. The aromas range from dried cherry, koji berry and apricot skin to fresh clay, mild tobacco and dried flowers. But it’s all very tightly packed, at least for now. On the medium-bodied palate, the same compact character persists, with firm tannins growing through to the end, though they fail to tame the deep bead of fruit. Classy. James Suckling 95
